I was at The Meet Market today at Technopolis - Gazi,Athens where a mobile community of designers, craftsmen, artists, collectors and independent businesses exhibit and sell what they make along with a full line-up of music from local djs and music producers.
Once a month, they put together a 2 day weekend event in various venues and I was glad that I was able to attend it this time.
You could find practically anything.
From vintage apparel and accessories, to homemade bags and jewelery,
DIY cocktail kits and decorative items.
I finally bought a way-too-cue frog ring and my best friend got a vintage-looking pendant.
It was truly a great event,
and I ended up with loads of contact cards from the designers/shops there.
Here's to supporting the independents, small scale businesses and local economy!!!
